Successful candidates must possess a positive attitude, the ability to lead, a strong technical aptitude and diverse interpersonal skills and be self-motivated. Devon Park Specialty provides underwriters with a high level of autonomy and promotes an environment where underwriters are also encouraged to challenge processes and empowered to make product development decisions. Comprehensive training is provided, and our coaching program allows new members the ability to have an immediate impact.
Renewal Underwriters analyze risk and evaluate pricing in accordance with company service promises and underwriting guidelines, while also developing and maintaining lasting relationships with customers to achieve company goals. Team members drive product management and development, impacting how we influence company goals. Successful candidates must exhibit critical thinking when analyzing risks, clearly articulate information to customers, and train and coach other underwriters as needed.
